Telling someone who doesn’t believe in God that they’re wrong and stupid is so disrespectful and the absolute worst way possible to get them to respect you or your faith. Telling someone who’s gay that their behavior is sinful and wrong is not going to make them want to accept the God that created them. If you want to share your faith with people, you have to respect what they believe, even if you do believe their thinking is flawed. You have to accept that people believe differently than you do because if you don’t, you’ll close them off even more to the possibility of accepting or believing in Jesus. Mark 12:31 says, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” It doesn’t say, “Love your neighbor as yourself as long as they’re straight,” or “Love your neighbor as yourself as long as they believe in God.” It just says to love them without exception. There’s no long line of qualifications they have to fulfill to gain your love. So please, stop attacking people just because you disagree. Respect and love each other because if you don’t, no one will love or respect you.
